Dismantling White Supremacy from Within the Classroom
Despite reforms, despite funds from well-meaning donors, our schools routinely underserve student with marginalized identities (BIPOC students, queer and trans students, differently-abled students, etc).
It's time to name the elephant in the room.
Modern-day U.S schools were designed to maintain white supremacy culture.
Teachers, you know that your students deserve better.
What if schools were used to raise a new generation of change agents who are equipped to dismantle white supremacist institutions?
In this webinar, you will learn how schools perpetuate white supremacy culture and why our efforts at reform continue to fail both Black and non-Black students.
Please note: This is not a diversity/racism 101 course. The content is designed for educators who already have a basic understanding of racial equity concepts (e.g the difference between diversity, inclusion and equity, the definition of white supremacy, systemic racism vs interpersonal racist acts).
A recording of the webinar will be sent to all registered participants after the event.

She made us think and gave us time to sit with what we were learning. She didn’t sugar coat the horrible history; she kept the door open for conversation and challenged us toward personal introspection.” - Celeste Collins, Executive Director, OnTrack WNC
